I don't think so, Zilla!!! Hey wanna play some double solitaire in here? Is that an oxymoron? well, there is definitely one lurker (besides you or i, well..it might be you but it doesn't seem like your style). so we could play some "double solitaire" and give them a show. the only problem is if the main tnmc board goes down, the rest of the crowd will remember this place and all our hot girl action will be seen by everyone Zilla (who is willing to chance being an exhibitionist with you)

Once again, I abstain from voting because my answer was not listed among the choices given. A pox on ye, poll taker.
BB (who calls you poll-taker not just because you started this poll, but also because, judging by your avatar, you are also taking a pole there, too)

You could be wearing a strap-on. True! Hopefully it is a Feeldo so that I am getting some pleasure out of it. Zilla (who would still prefer to be the one with the wiggly toes)

You know, a part of me wishes I could pretend I didn't understand that joke. Another part of me wants to tell you that I didn't take any Quantum Mechanics classes and that I don't understand that joke Unfortunately for me, the truth is even though there is no reason I should have understood that joke, I did, and I thought it was pretty fucking funny Zilla (who thinks she will blame her small understanding of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle on her addiction to the television show "Numb3rs". That probably isn't where it comes from, but it's a good enough place to shift the blame)

I'd pretty much assumed that the HUP was part of popular knowledge these days. I don't think you need to ascribe any sort of geek status to your familiarity with it.......Jake (who never saw "Numb3rs" but always figured he'd probably love it)

The math geeks I know have some issues with it. Sometimes the theories are overly simplified when explained, and the way the math is used can be dodgy (according to my math geeks). Plus the show is very firmly centered with the emotions/feelings/relationships of the characters. You might find those things to be detrimental to your enjoyment of the show.
Zilla (who has also heard the critique "For an action show, they sure spend a lot of time sitting around talking")

. ...Sometimes the theories are overly simplified when explained, and the way the math is used can be dodgy.... That's how I felt about the show "Mythbusters" the one time I watched it. I was screaming at the television, "No, no! You cannot make that generalization from that observation!"

NO no no Jake, you missed the entire point of that show. The REAL point is for two adults to live out their childhood fantasies to destroy, by the most spectacular way possible, everyday objects either purchased or constructed, WITH IMPUNITY. The 'myths' are simply plot movement mechanisms. Simply put, its a 'knowledge based' 3 Stooges.

Haven't been here in ages. I just happened to notice this board on my favorites and being bored at work (commercial mortgages being shit in Chicago right now) I decided to take a look and see if anyone ever sneaks over here trying to keep some interesting discussion to themselves.
Ha Ha, here you are.
What's with the board these days? Maybe it's me but I sense a lull in interesting topics. Maybe I've become jaded, but I just can't argue about Bush anymore and it seems that topics that garner lots of comment are things of the past. Wareagle sure gives it the old collage try with his news clips, but even that gets little comment.
Maybe it’s just summer. Good news is my tan is just about peaked. Hey, that’s it; I start a thread on good news for summer. Na, not enough controversy. I’ll just have to think of something.

I'd attribute it to Summer. Not as many people will sit at a computer when they can go outside and play......Jake Funny thing, I *love* summer and warmth and all that stuff, but didn't get out to play much at all this summer. Now that the weather has temporarily turned cooler, I have been taking every opportunity to play hooky from work, even if just for 15 minutes to do the bank run. Zilla (who wonders where the time goes)
